After some blues from last week we're going this time in the opposite direction above 200 bpm.
The song is by another band I haven't featured before!
It's my favorite song from their second album “Crazy Rhythm” and it was written by Hot Lips Page in 1945.
Jonathan Stout and his Campus Five, featuring Hilary Alexander
The 7-piece Campus Five plays music in the tradition of the small groups of the late 1930s and early 1940s.
They are well-known for their authentic sound and are considered to be one of the most danceable contemporary swing combos, also because the bandleaders are dancers themselves.
Check out their website to learn more about Jonathan and Hilary and their various bands.
