About The Band
Taken from the website:
Created by 5 musicians, passionated by Blues and Swing music, with a big experience in different styles of jazz music and swing dancing, The Raggedy Junkers were born in 2014 in Toulouse, beautiful city from south of France, where jazz music and swing dancing are everywhere.
With a mix of style: New-Orleans, Swing, Blues, the Raggedy Junkers will bring you back to the 20s & 30s. Full of energy & joy, this vocal band will make you move on your chair or jump on the dance floor!
Originally a quintet, with vocals, trumpet, trombone, tuba, banjo & washboard, the band evolved when hired to play in an authentic Jazz Club in Shanghai.
With a new singer, guitar, bass, saxophone, trumpet & trombone, they offer a sextet with an extra drum, to play blues and slow swing, and then a septet: a double bass and a tenor saxophone are added to play pure Swing.
