It's the same with DJ software, DJ controllers have much more features than we need as Swing DJs.
But if you are a haptic person who loves to use knobs, buttons and faders, and you're DJ'ing with algoriddim djay on Mac or iPad, then this might be interesting for you anyway!
Two weeks ago, Vestax announced their new DJ controller Spin2. It's the world’s first 2-channel DJ controller to directly connect and natively control djay for Mac, iPad, iPhone and iPod touch with integrated connections.

Features
Spin2 and djay perfectly integrate with your iTunes library in your Mac, iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. With the simplified navigation control you can search and load tracks all from Spin2.
If you signed up for iTunes Match, then you have all your music with you, no matter which device you are using. And if there is a track missing just buy it within djay in the iTunes store.
The integrated 30-pin connector powers and charges your iOS device.
Spin2 comes with the latest version of djay for mac. The iOS apps need to be purchased separately.
Multi Audio Support for iOS6
Spin2 processes and outputs songs through its built-in studio grade 24bit/48kHz audio interface. The new multi-channel and multi-route audio features of Apple’s latest iOS 6 are supported. That enables DJs to pre-listen and output their songs in full stereo with iOS devices.
The splitter mode from stereo into two mono signals (for pre-listening and output) of the previous iOS versions is available as well.

Buying system for a newbie that loves buttons. Would you recommend the vestax spin2 dj over the numark idjay pro? He has Mac, iPhone and iPad.
Chris says
Hey Esther, if he uses all of these devices for DJ’ing then I definitely would go for the Spin 2.
