Gypsy Jazz.
You love it or hate it.
While I never would play a full DJ set only with gypsy jazz tracks, I love to mix a few of them into my sets.
One of those tracks is a great version of a well known tune, most famous by Lionel Hampton (Song of the Week #178) who co-wrote the song with Benny Goodman.

Personnel: Antoine Franchi (vln), Paul Brenner (p), Marcel Bianchi (solo g), Maurice Rosenberg (g), André Mégewand (b), Jerry Thomas (d).
On a site note: Marcel Bianchi was a legendary French gipsy swing guitarist. He used to be a member of Django Reinhardt's band, the Quintette Du Hot Club De France.
In the 1940s, Bianchi started to play with Jerry Thomas' band on neutral ground (Switzerland) to escape WW2.

Jerry Thomas
Jerry Thomas was a Swiss drummer and bandleader, born September 11, 1909 in Pully, nearby Lausanne Switzerland.
According to this article (thanks again Superheidi!) was Jerry Thomas very popular all around Lake Geneva.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find a complete biography or any other informations about Jerry Thomas.
If you have any sources (books, links etc.) please leave a comment.
