About Smoking Time Jazz Club' Music
taken from the bandcamp description.
This music is infectious, the swing dancers move around each other gracefully and yet at times seeming to be careening out of control, all to the beat of the music.
Sarah Peterson's vocals are amazing, she cuts right through the band easily, with a voice you would swear you could imagine coming out of an old record player from the early days of jazz.
The band is equally impressive. The front line is anything but sedate, one moment they are jumping to their feet to solo all at once, or at even at one point, to jump off the bandstand and grab willing members of the crowd for a dance around.
I can't remember the last time I saw a band swing as hard as they do.
It's like a listener/audience feedback but there is no particular person quoted…
